Service Description
Our Farmer-In-Training (FIT) program gives teens the chance to explore farm life, develop leadership skills, and assist in running camp activities. FITs work alongside teachers to help care for animals, tend the garden, lead creative projects, and support younger campers in a fun, safe environment. This hands-on experience teaches responsibility, teamwork, and practical farm skills — all while making a difference at camp! FITs receive a t-shirt, materials, and snacks, and finish the summer with a Leadership Certificate recognizing their contributions. Note: CITs are supervised at all times and do not count toward camper ratios.

Cancellation Policy
To secure your spot, a 50% deposit is required upon booking. The remaining 50% is due on or before April 1, 2025. Registrations that occur after April 1 must be paid in full. A cancellation on or before April 15, 2025 will be charged a $45 cancellation fee, and the patron will receive a refund (minus the aforementioned cancellation fee). Cancellations made after April 15, 2025 will not be refunded. Patrons who wish to transfer registration from one week to another will be charged a $25 administrative fee. Apple Hart Farm reserves the right to cancel a program that does not reach a minimum number of registrants, and patrons will receive a full refund or can transfer to another week of camp without paying the administrative fee.
