At Farm School, Little Farmers explore the living world through face-to-face interactions with our animal friends, nature-inspired crafts, stories, songs, and more.  We begin each class in our PlayPen, where little farmers delight in their choice of dramatic, sensory, and messy play that promote motor, cognitive, and social development. Then, we gather for a joyful community circle. Finally, we work together to care for our animal friends.

Farm Babies Playgroup

At Apple Hart Farm, our Farm Babies program invites the youngest little farmers to cultivate compassion and connections with the animal world. Through sensory play, engaging songs, delightful stories, and hands-on animal encounters, we create nurturing and meaningful experiences in a small group setting. Join us as we foster a love for nature and animals from the very start!

Gardening & Cooking with Kids

Register Now: Next session starts May 1

Grow your food and eat it too! Each week, you and your little one will discover where food comes from by planting the "veggie (or fruit) of the day" and turning it into a delicious and nutritious snack! Then, we will feed our leftover produce to our animals, who will eagerly turn our waste into soil!

Farm Friends Playgroup

Summer Drop-In Sessions

Farm Friends Playgroup is a small community of little farmers who have fun while they explore the natural world through child-led, educator supported play.  Farm Friends build curiosity, confidence, and connections with the natural world through sensory and dramatic play, temporal art, stories and songs, and animal interactions. 

Ages 15 months to 5 years (siblings welcome)

Monday & Wednesday mornings starting June 23

Nature Art at the Farm

Budding artists develop their creativity, improve

technical art making skills, and socialize with others.

 Drawing inspiration for our projects from nature and farm life, we will explore different

themed art projects and art making techniques, such as drawing, painting, printmaking and more.

Movement and exploration is an important part of our creative process and students will enjoy

engaging with the environment around them while also creating something colorful and

beautiful.
